Windmill Days: August 15-16, 2025
A community event with family friendly fun for all ages!
The 2025 Windmill Days celebration is being planned by the Grove City Economic Development Authority. It will be a two-day event this year, Friday and Saturday, with the parade on Saturday evening at 6:30pm.
We regret that due to the heavy rainfall, we are unable to have mud volleyball this year. The grass is unable to be mowed and tilled.
Unless otherwise noted, activities will take place in Windmill Park.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY ACTIVITIES
Windmill Days Scavenger Hunt from 11am Friday August 15 to 5pm Saturday, August 16.
Rules: Take photos of all of the listed items on the score sheet that will be posted on Facebook by 9am on Friday, August 15. Please be respectful of others when taking photos. Post your photos on your personal Facebook Page and tag the page Grove City MN Festivals. A completed board and photos will enter you into a drawing for a chance to win a cash prize! Winner will be announced on Facebook on Saturday at 9pm.
Nature Trail Story Time is available anytime. Maps can be picked up in the library.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 15
City Wide Garage Sales from 7am-8pm
Free Community Lunch at Grove Bank from 11am-1pm
Bingo Fundraiser for Mission Study Trip at Trinity Lutheran Church at 7pm.
Refreshments served by Grove City CARE.
Taste of Grove City Grub -n- Pub Crawl! Visit our Main Street local restaurants/pubs for their Windmill Days specials and entertainment!
SATURDAY, AUGUST 16
City Wide Garage Sales from 7am-8pm
Vendors, Food Trucks and Art in the Park at Windmill Park from 9am-4pm
In the event of inclement weather, vendors will set up at South Grove Gym.
3rd Annual 1K Donut & Beer Walk sponsored by and starting at MN Beer Co. at 9am.
$30 entry fee covers the T-shirt, donut, beer and donation.
Medallion Hunt at 9am with clues on the hour at City Hall
Pickleball Tournament sponsored by First Baptist Church at Maple Lane Park at 9am. $30/team.
Pre-register by August 13 with Aaron VanDuinen at Fbcpastoraaron@gmail.com
Bouncy House sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Church from 10am-1pm
Pony Rides by Wild Rose Farm from 10am-2pm weather permitting.
One ticket per child 12 years and under, 2nd ride is $6 payable through PayPal to Wild Rose Farm.
Cars + Show sponsored by and located at MN Beer Co. 10am-2pm
Music in the Park by Jolly Ramblers from 10:45am-12:45pm
Kubb Games for teens and adults from 11am-1pm
Don't know how to play Kubb? Learn from Andrew Hallin, GC Summer Rec Coordinator
Bean Bag Tournament sponsored by 201 Building Supply in front of the Firehall starting at 1pm. Pre-register at noon. $40 per team. Tournament will pause for parade and resume after it.
Hawk Creek Meet and Greet the Animals from 1pm-3pm
Grove City Historical Museum open at South Grove from 1pm-4pm
Lemonade and cookies will be served.
Children's Games at the Community Center sponsored by the Grove City Library from 2pm-4pm
Music in the Park by Swenoda from 2pm-5pm
CoJo Dairy will provide wagon rides and transportation from Windmill Park to the Cars + Show and other pickup and drop off points on north side of town from 9:30am to 2pm.
Grove City Fire and Rescue will be selling burgers, brats, hotdogs and root beer floats on Saturday, August 16 from Noon until after the parade at the Firehall.
GC CARE raffle drawing will be held prior to the parade at Firehall.
Parade with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for best float! Same parade route as last year starting at 6:30pm.
$100, $75 and $50 prizes. Line up at 5:30pm at the Community Homes.
Post Parade Activities:
GC Fire Department will give rides in the fire truck.
GC Fire Department Drawing for children's bikes that have been donated.
Taste of Grove City Grub -n- Pub Crawl! Visit our Main Street local restaurants/pubs for their Windmill Days specials and entertainment.
Donations of kids' bikes may be dropped off at City Hall on or before August 14.
